So my first draft of the synopsis has been reviewed by the two mandatory people on the synopsis focus, and the feedback was helpful. But I found myself wondering what's different about this feedback than reviews I would get on OWW if I just posted the synopsis. Certainly I'd get more than two reviews.

I don't know, but I hope to find out.

I did read through the reviews I received and came up with a question I thought I'd post here for more feedback:

Romance is a secondary plot line of my book, and both reviews of the synopsis said I didn't put enough lead up to the two characters hooking up. I didn't mention it before because I didn't want to muddle up the synopsis with two plot lines, but obviously it's a problem.

So. Should to try to incorporate both plot lines (the romance aspect with the learning magic to stay alive) fully into the synopsis, or just cut out the romantic elements I've got in there right now?

I think when I revise this I'll try it both ways and see how each version turns out, but I'm interested in thoughts. Does adding a romantic element hook anyone more than just having a sword and sorcery fantasy novel?

I did my two reviews, posting them before anyone else. Now I'm bored...
